Sewing Levels for our Classes

IzzoSew Studio has five levels of classes; from complete beginner to proficient dressmaker. See below for a description of each level.

Beginner SewisNo experf sewing and has never used a sewing machi

Beginner sewist:

No experience of sewing and has never used a sewing machine.

Amateur Dressmaker:

Can use a sewing machine to sew in a straight line and complete simple projects (e.g. a bag / cushion). Has little or no experience in making clothes.

Learner Dressmaker:

Has sewn a few garments and can follow a simple pattern.

Competent Dressmaker:

Can confidently sew garments and is looking to learn new techniques and gain support with more complex projects.

Proficient Dressmaker:

Can confidently sew a range of patterns, employing a variety of techniques.
